A 33-year-old woman was stabbed to death on Sunday outside her home in Grézieu-la-Varenne (Rhône) in the west of Lyon.
It is his ex-companion who is suspected of this murder, we learned Monday from the Lyon prosecutor's office, confirming information from Progress.
The suspect went at 10 p.m. to the Vaulx-en-Velin police station, about twenty kilometers from Grézieu-la-Varenne, where he was immediately placed in police custody, said the prosecution.
Three children present at the time of the murder
The couple, separated for several weeks, had four common children aged 13, 10, 6 and 4 years old.
Three of them were at their mother's home at the time of the incident, around 6:30 p.m., and were taken care of at the Woman-Mother-Children Hospital (HFME) in Bron, according to the same source.
Local residents alerted the police.
