The opening speech of the Google Developer Conference last night, Google I / O lasted nearly three hours.
We will not touch on you throughout the speech, but will jump right in and summarize the important announcements for you.
What did Google announce yesterday (Wednesday)?
Although it has already been leaked, Google has introduced the Pixel Watch, its smartwatch, which will be announced later
this year (we are betting around September, ahead of the US holiday season). It will run on an updated version of WearOS 3, and includes Pitbit hardware integration , As I recall, was purchased by Google. Google has not yet said what processor it is running or price. It is probably saving it for the official announcement.
There were no surprises in the smartphone segment either: Google announced a discounted version of the Pixel 6, which is a Pixel 6a and also the next generation of smartphones from its creator, the Pixel 7. The Pixel 6a will cost $ 449, and will be available towards the end of July.
For the most part, in the discounted A-versions, Google maintained the same photo layout as the "full" version, not this time.
This time the main sensor is a 12 megapixel sensor only, compared to 50 megapixels in a 6 pixel.

Google also gave a peek at the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, with designs that show slightly different camera sockets in their design.
Similar to the current generation, the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will have two and three lenses, respectively.
And how is it possible without headphones?
Google does not leave Apple the space alone, and has in fact announced its own version of AirPods Pro.
The Pixel Bades Pro will cost $ 199, and will include active noise cancellation and seven hours of battery life, even when the noise cancellation is running.
They will have their own unique processor, and they will support connection to two devices simultaneously, a feature that is not the most common in the very saturated market of wireless headphones.
They will come in black, red, green and other colors, and will also be available in late July.

Another thing that is similar to Apple - if Google has a tensor processor made for smartphones, then it also needs to reach tablets!
Google has announced its intention to launch a tensor-based tablet computer, and this is good news that Google is about to re-enter the tablet market.
Google also has a solution for Facebook / Meta and other companies, in that it also produces a new version of augmented reality glasses (Google Glass, as I recall, was not a huge success and mostly made people look like cyborgs).
Android 13 is assigning improvements over 12
Google cares about your privacy sounds like an oxymoron, but the company is apparently trying to convey to lawmakers on Capitol Hill that it does not ignore them.
The company introduced a new interface for managing advertisements, where we can choose which advertisements we want to see and in which areas of interest (and along the way we will do the Google work for it ...), and also announced the further development of protected computing, and the transfer of additional local processing information on the processor. Instead of on her servers.

Android 13 itself assigns improvements over 12: the Material You design will continue to spread to more places on your smartphone, and here's a cool feature: the ability to use different apps in different languages, without uniformity resulting from the main interface language.
The beta version of Android 13 is already available to developers.
And last but not least - Google Wallet is back in our lives so that your club member cards are not lost, and Google Maps adds the option to view selected cities from the bird's eye view or the glider, so you do not get lost.
