No dramas
Get out of a group on WhatsApp - and stay alive: According to a report on the WABetaInfo blog, which follows the developments and innovations in the popular messaging app, in an update coming soon to the app you can leave a group quietly, and without leaving marks publicly.
How will it work?
In the new version you can save yourself the dramas involved in leaving a group of workplace or family, so that only the managers will be notified of your departure.
The rest of the contacts, will not be aware of your choice - something that could save us all a headache.
In the meantime, it is not clear when the update will reach all users, but it is expected to reach both Android and iPhone users soon.
Caution!
Websites collect the email you type
According to a new study, a huge number of sites record and collect everything you type in their forms, even if you did not click the submit button on the form.
Researchers examined the 100,000 most visited sites, and imitated visitors from the European Union and the United States.
1,844 sites collected the email address without the permission of the mock European visitors, and close to 3,000 sites collected the email address of surfers from the United States.
However, it is clear that most of the sites did not do so with malicious intent - but as a side effect of marketing tools.
"If there's a 'Submit' button on a form, the reasonable expectation is that it does something, and it will provide the information as soon as you click on it," says Guns Acker, a researcher in the digital security group at Redwood University and one of the research leaders.
"We were very surprised by the results. We thought we would find several hundred sites where your email address was collected even before you submitted the form, but it exceeded our expectations."
