Two men, aged 20 and 25, were indicted this Thursday in Pontoise for attempted murder before being imprisoned.
They are suspected of having shot and wounded a 28-year-old young man to steal hi-fi equipment from him.
The facts date back to May 9, in Montigny-lès-Cormeilles (Val-d'Oise).
That evening, it was 8:45 p.m., allée Auguste-Rodin, when residents called the police after hearing several explosions.
“Not far from there, there was a group of local elected officials who visited the promenade of the Impressionists and took photos”, specifies a source close to the case.
Law enforcement quickly arrives on the scene.
The suspects took to their heels but they discovered two bullet holes on cars parked in the street.
A little further, the police come across an abandoned car, the trunk open with a bullet lodged in the rear view mirror.
Inside, they get their hands on several 7.65 caliber cartridges.
Hit by a bullet in the thigh
During the evening, the Eaubonne hospital warns the authorities that a man with a gunshot wound has just been admitted to the emergency room.
After having been operated on, this young man explains that he had made an appointment on Snapchat with a buyer to sell used hi-fi equipment.
Two people showed up for the meeting.
But when paying, one of them brandished a pistol before opening fire.
The victim fled but was hit in the left thigh.
Investigators from the Pontoise judicial police department are responsible for carrying out the investigations.
They carry out a neighborhood survey and use the images recorded by the CCTV cameras.
The attackers, known to the local police, are identified.
On Wednesday, the police arrested them at their homes in Chesnay (Yvelines) and Vigneux-sur-Seine (Essonne) before placing them in police custody in Pontoise.
During searches, the clothes they were wearing on the day of the incident were found.
During their hearings, they denied any involvement in the attack.
But one of them admitted he was at the scene.
