A lot of oil has been mixed with fuel flowing in the arteries of the Peugeot Vespas since the original "Wasp" was introduced in 1946, but there is one thing that connects the same original tool to the one you see here - in both the engine is located at the rear (then on the rear arm, here on the wheel ) And both have no chain.

But from now on - except for the Piaggio logo - these are two tools that belong to a completely different era in the days of urban transportation.

The two-wheeler world has already gone through the initial exploration phase into electric propulsion, yet still faces a major barrier in the form of battery capacity and size limitation and consequently range as well.

However when it comes to urban tools, the significantly shorter ranges allow these tools to penetrate more widely.

Not one that poses a threat at this stage to tools with internal combustion engines in Israel with 2.34% in 2021, but if to rely on the European trend, where power tools make up about 6% of sales and at a steady growth rate, this is also on the way.

And also Piaggio, the pioneer of scooters enters this world with the 1st, its urban electric scooter.

And for those whose electric vehicles produce the context of performance, that's not really the case here.

As someone who is also defined by the importer as a "50 cc replacement", this is a scooter designed for urban traffic in particularly crowded areas, since with a maximum speed of 60 km / h, it is also not suitable for short-range jumps.

The range offered by its 2.3 kWh battery is also modest - 85 km in ECO mode where the tool speed is even more limited, or 50 km in SPORT mode.

The battery itself weighing 15 kg can be detached from the tool for charging, but of course Which can also be charged directly from the electrical outlet.

Charging time from 100% to 6 hours.

The warranty for the battery as on the entire scooter is for two years.

Piaggio declares 800 charging cycles that, even after 70% capacity, will still allow the tool to be used.

The equipment list has a digital dashboard, LED lighting, keyless propulsion, unlike its competitors it offers a storage compartment under the seat that contains a 3/4 helmet, an app that allows you to get information about power consumption and charging status and even reverse gear.

There are currently a number of electric competitors on the market, all of which, like the Piaggio 1 focus on the urban field, tools like NIU and ZAP but in the future they will be joined by power tools from well-known large two-wheeled manufacturers like Yamaha, Honda and others.

At a price of NIS 17,000, it is located close to the NIU prices and its quantity adds to the green image also low maintenance costs in terms of licensing fees, insurance (failure of 50 cc) and savings in the field of routine treatments that do not actually exist in electric tools.
