First publication: Zvika Pick has canceled all his comeback performances planned for June and July at Zappa clubs around the country, just a week and a half before the scheduled date for the first performance, on June 3 at the Zappa Club in Tel Aviv.
This was to be his first tour after his prolonged absence from the stages following the stroke he suffered about four years ago.
After the show next Friday in Tel Aviv, Pick was scheduled to perform six more times during June and July, at the Zappa clubs in Haifa, Beer Sheva, Jerusalem, Kerem Barkan, Herzliya and the Alma Hotel in Zichron Yaacov.
The surprising cancellation was decided after the publication of media announcements about the show and the sale of tickets for performances, a sale that has meanwhile dropped from the Zappa website.
It is not clear what the reason for the cancellation is.
According to a source close to Pick "the show is not ready yet".
No new dates have been set for this show.
A source close to the production told Walla!
Culture: "It turns out that Zvika Pick did not prepare for the show properly, he does not rehearse and is not ready for performances. There is a big gap between Zvika's feeling with himself, who really wants to get back to business, and his recognition of his disability. "In the best way. He gets tired quickly. And there is a question mark as to whether he can communicate with the audience."

In the meantime, to Walla!
Culture learned that prior to the cancellation it was intended that Peak would perform his songs in a performance while accompanied by playback singing, contrary to the impression created that he would sing without playback.
After the brain event, Pick performed at the Festigal in 2019 with Playback, and his appearance last week, at the "Reborn" tribute event as part of a fundraising broadcast for the "Halasartan" organization, was also with Playback.
All this raises the question of whether Pick is able to sing well in front of an audience without playback.
Assaf Moore, Zappa's VP of Marketing, said: "These are production considerations by Zvika Pick.
We accepted his request to cancel the coordinated shows and informed the customers who purchased tickets. "
