The Gare du Nord was evacuated on Tuesday evening "as a preventive measure" following the detection of "suspicious smoke and fire odors", according to firefighters.
The fire would have started from an electrical panel and is currently under control even if the intervention of the firefighters continues in order to carry out reconnaissance.

The circulation of main line trains is not affected but the RER B and D no longer stop at Gare du Nord.
Are lines H, U and K completely stopped.
Line 4 of the metro does not stop at the station and line 5 also sees its route modified.
❌ Due to the intervention of firefighters at Gare du Nord, traffic is interrupted between Jaurès and République stations.
The resumption of traffic is estimated around 10:35 p.m. #ligne5.

Traffic is interrupted rue de Dunkerque in front of the station, according to the Prefecture of Police.
