The young Seat subsidiary Cupra has snagged an inglorious top spot: its drivers are often on record in Flensburg.

Another brand in the points ranking surprises.

Munich – Porsche drivers speed, jostle and are often fined for traffic violations: what sounds like a flat cliché corresponds at least in part to reality (as this case of a Taycan driver shows).

In fact, the owners of the sports car brand from the VW Group collect an above-average number of points in the driving aptitude register of the Federal Motor Transport Authority (“Traffic Offenders Register”), and have so far led the inglorious ranking.

Cupra drivers collect the most points - here a Formentor VZ5 drifting on a race track.

But now another, still relatively young brand has taken the lead, as the comparison portal "Check24" has determined using customer data: Drivers of a Cupra have points in Flensburg particularly often (the status of which can be queried online), namely 8.1 percent from them.

This means that the sub-brand of the Spanish manufacturer Seat, and also a VW subsidiary, has pushed Porsche into second place (7.3 percent).

Jaguar owners rank third with 6.6 percent.

But not only the users of conventional sports cars are conspicuous - with Tesla (6.4 percent), surprisingly, a purely electric car brand ranks fourth.

The average across all makes is a traffic offender share of 4.8 percent.

According to the portal, the fact that the sporty positioned Cupra brand (click here for the driving report of the Born electric model) leads the negative ranking could be related to the fact that the young Seat subsidiary (which will probably replace her mother) tends to have quite young customers.

However, the placements of expensive brands that are more likely to be driven by more mature people, such as Jaguar, Land Rover and, of course, Porsche, also shows that age does not protect against turf.
