They chose the day before to evoke "the moment before" and these places of Saint-Denis and Paris which became symbols of the terrorist attacks of November 13th.
They wanted this Wednesday, on the third day of the pleadings of the civil parties, to place the Special Assize Court in the time of the sufferings of the “after”, this infinite panel of the consequences of the attacks for the victims.
To invite the judges "to look the injury in the face as you looked the victims in the face", expressed Me Frédéric Bibal.
