They are specialists in transporting drugs to the Paris region.

Two men, aged 25 and 30, were indicted on Monday by a judge of the interregional jurisdiction of Paris before being imprisoned, for drug trafficking.

These criminals were arrested with 1.9 tonnes of cannabis resin on the night of Thursday to Friday at the Saint-Arnoult-en-Yvelines tollbooth (Yvelines) by officials from the research and intervention brigade (BRI ) of Versailles.

It was last February that investigators from the Ofast (Anti-Narcotics Office) branch of the Versailles judicial police regional directorate gathered information on a team made up of traffickers from Seine-et-Marne and Seine -Saint-Denis which imports cannabis resin from Morocco via Spain using the “go-fast” technique.

In other words, they organize convoys of vehicles that leave from Malaga and deliver the drugs to the cities.

"This group fed the deal points throughout the Ile-de-France", specifies a source close to the case.

Law enforcement is monitoring the telephone communications of their suspects.

They also put microphones and GPS beacons on their cars.

The police understand that a lift will be organized this Thursday, May 26.

The investigators follow the route of the convoy from Spain and decide to set up a device to intercept it on its arrival in the Paris region.

Two vehicles loaded with cannabis resin

During the night from Thursday to Friday, the officials let the opening car pass at the Saint-Arnoult toll.

But in a few seconds, they stop a Citroën Jumpy and a Mercedes V-Class, when they arrive in front of the barriers.

The drivers do not have time to realize what is happening to them before being arrested by the men of the BRI.

In the first vehicle, they get their hands on 774 kg of resin.

And in the second, the police discovered 1.1 tons of weed and 48 kg of grass.

The two suspects, a man of Spanish origin and a resident of Aulnay-sous-Bois (Seine-Saint-Denis), are placed in police custody in the premises of the stups of Versailles.

"These two men are already known for cases related to drug trafficking," adds our source.

During their hearings, these two thugs remained silent.

Further investigations should make it possible to identify the principals and the other members of this group of traffickers.
