Huge window space, and 9 seats (Photo: Manufacturer's website)

Colmobil importer Hyundai today started marketing its minivan / commercial Staria.

A minivan because it has fancy passenger versions and it will try to stick Hyundai in the segment it has been absent all these years.

Commercial because it also comes in a charger configuration with or without windows.

The exterior design is different from anything you have seen on the road and there is a chance that it will turn a lot of heads, probably in black and with the bright LED strip across the front that appears in the passenger versions (in the commercial versions plastic).

The window area is huge, especially in front and it will be interesting to see how he handles the Israeli summer.

Its all-new front-wheel-drive platform, unlike the i800 it replaces, allows both increased cabin volume and the option to play in the rear model's suspension configurations (example: multi-connectors in the passenger version and power beam in the commercial version).

This platform also allows for a significantly larger interior space with 327 cm of wheelbase alongside a significantly larger overall length of the i800 as it extends to a length of 525 cm compared to 512 cm in the i800.

The bonus: up to 9 seats (Photo: Manufacturer's website)

The Starry's propulsion is based on Hyundai's 2.2-liter turbo diesel engine, with variable turbo geometry and a power of 177 hp and 44 kg.

The gearbox is an 8-speed planetary automatic.

With 12.4 seconds for a maximum of 100 and 185 km / h, you understand that this is just a spacey look.

In terms of seating and transport arrangements, the Staria will arrive in a cargo configuration with and without windows. In this version, it will compete with commercial vehicles such as the Citroen Jumpy, Ford Transit, Renault Traffic or Volkswagen Transporter

. Or 9 seats, which gives it an advantage over tools like the Kia Carnival, which officially comes in only a 7-seat configuration.

In terms of instrumentation, we will start with the closed commercial version that will offer cruise control, a reverse camera, electric handbrake, front and rear parking sensors, an 8-inch multimedia system with compatibility for Android and iPhone, driving mode selector and more.

The gaps in it are mainly in the field of safety systems - it comes with a local Mobilai system, it may in the future come with original advanced safety systems.

Price of this version: 237 thousand shekels.

The commercial window version adds climate control, keyless entry and propulsion and leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Safety systems leap forward with automatic braking (including pedestrian, two-wheeled detection and cross traffic at the intersection), lane departure correction including center lane, "dead space" vehicle warning, reverse traffic warning including braking, adaptive cruise control combined with road sign detection and more .

Price: 250,000 shekels.

The two Starry passenger configurations come in a significantly richer instrumentation specification.

The one with 9 seats that will be called Premium has a digital dashboard measuring 10.25 inches, indoor LED lighting, split climate control with outlets for the rear seats, control of the gears from the steering wheel and more.

A safety reminder is added to the safety systems to prevent children from being forgotten in the car.

The price of this version will be 270 thousand shekels, just as we published here before.

The most equipped version is the luxury that will be offered in an 8-seat configuration.

Here the front lighting is full LED, side curtains in the rear windows, double sunroof, electric driver seat, leather upholstery when the front two are heated.

The safety systems have additional perimeter cameras and a display of the "dead area" on the dashboard with signal activation.

Price of this version: 295 thousand shekels.
