Flying into space in a hot air balloon - sounds like a fantasy?

It turns out that this dream is closer than ever.

Space Perspective is currently developing a propulsion spacecraft with a balloon called Neptune One.

The spacecraft, built like a balloon, will take off at an altitude of 32 kilometers above the earth and will embark on a journey of six hours in total - including takeoff time, stay in space and land back to Earth.

Despite doubts about a balloon flight into space and the question of whether the ball will last, the company's founders strongly believe in Neptune One.

The couple Jane Pointer and Tver McCallum who founded Perspective have accumulated many achievements in the field of innovation and space exploration over the past 20 years.

Among other things, they will include technologies for spacecraft, including the International Space Station, and advised Alon Musk about SpaceX's human spaceflight.

They also led the team StratEx - Stratospheric Exploration who invented an independent space suit and a program that allows human exploration of the stratosphere at an altitude of 304,800 meters.

As part of this program, Google's senior engineer Alan Justas set the world record for 41,452-meter-high space-powered human spaceflight.

The couple is also behind the balloon technology company World View Enterprises, which has developed communication and remote sensing.

Beyond the advanced technology, the company boasts a particularly comfortable flight experience - the Neptune One will include a lounge with sun loungers and tall windows that will display the magical view of space.

"Our mission is to inspire space explorers to connect more with our planet and with each other. Our space lounge is different from what exists in other spacecraft. We offer travelers the opportunity to take phenomenal photos, enjoy interactive content, once-in-a-lifetime dining experiences and simply soak up the scenery." , Says Jane Pointer to FORBES magazine.

The size of the space lounge will be 18 square meters - a space that allows a maximum of eight people to relax and move freely without suffering from overcrowding. Flight participants will be able to view from 360-degree windows a view of 724 km in each direction.

They will be able to relax in deep armchairs that can be adjusted to include only two seats and will be suitable for dinner or a special occasion.

If all the procedures and tests go as planned, the launch of the hot air balloon is scheduled for the end of 2024 at Space Coast Air and Spaceport, located near NASA's Canadian Space Center in Florida. The company plans to pick up passengers from around the world by ship. , So we are sorry to announce that the 600 seats for flights in the first year of launch of the spacecraft have already run out. We will wait for the next flights. Want to book a ticket? Click here.
