Chinese carmaker Cherry has signed an agreement with Carasso Motors to import the company's cars to Israel.
It is the fifth car brand for the group to join Renault, Nissan, Dacia and Infiniti and the tenth car brand to come to Israel from China, further establishing their grip on the domestic market, not at the absolute numbers of dedication, but definitely a serious signal of intent that it is not an episode but a strategy.
As far as the importer is concerned, the new brand will be marketed separately from the existing ones and in showrooms that will be dedicated to Cherry and will also market the cars through a digital sales array.
Similar to what manufacturers like Gilly and AIWAYS do.

Unlike most other manufacturers that have entered here, Cherry does not limit their supply to a single model nor to electric propulsion only, the company intends to offer both electric cars and petrol cars in several categories, all crossovers or Jeeps with a promise of high safety and high equipment.
There are currently two models on the agenda, the first is the Omoda 5, a designed crossover-coupe with electric propulsion and the larger model that we intend to import here for the first time is the Tiggo 8 Pro, the largest and most equipped of the manufacturer's models with room for 7 passengers, equipment list Long and a 1.6-liter turbo gasoline engine that according to the manufacturer's publications produces 197 hp.

Cherry, which was founded in 1997 and has been exporting cars since 2001, is active in dozens of countries, most of them in East and South America, but not in Europe where it has not yet passed normal at present.
Without European standards, marketing in Israel is limited to 400 units.
As we have already published here for the first time, the expectation of entry is towards the end of 2022, in which case, the quantity limit is not expected to be a significant obstacle, however for the continued growth of the brand in the coming years it will already become necessary.
The importer stated that this is also expected to arrive near the start of marketing.
