Stellantis leaves Acea and launches Freedom of Mobility Forum

Stellantis will leave Acea, the association of European automobile manufacturers (Acea), by the end of the year, and will create an annual open forum, the Freedom of Mobility Forum, from 2023. (HANDLE)


  Stellantis will leave Acea, the association of European automobile manufacturers (Acea), by the end of the year, and will create an annual open forum, the Freedom of Mobility Forum, from 2023.

The goal is to bring together a diverse group of experts capable of "addressing and solving the problems of clean, safe and affordable mobility for society in the face of the implications of global warming".


    "The environmental challenges that await us require an efficient, global and inclusive all-round approach that involves all those who wish to contribute to the construction of sustainable mobility" explains CEO Carlos Tavares.

"We intend to create a public forum where participants can come together to address the key issues surrounding the debate on decarbonised mobility and identify the next steps to take together. Access to clean, safe and affordable mobility for citizens is at stake. from all over the world "adds Tavares.

The "Freedom of Mobility Forum" will be planned and coordinated by an advisory board of experts who will represent various stakeholders in the sector, including mobility and technology providers, academics, policy makers and scientists.
