Joshua passed away yesterday at the age of 85, after a several-year battle with cancer.
Among those present at the funeral are former President Reuven Rivlin, his author Meir Shalev, former Minister Haim Oron, former Haifa Mayor Yonah Yahav, and others.
Joshua, one of the greatest writers of Israel in the last generation, was born Avraham Gabriel Yehoshua.
Over the years he has written classics such as "Late Divorce", "The Mission of the Human Resources Officer", "The Lover", "Molcho", "The Liberating Bride", "The Return from India", "Journey to the End of the Millennium" and "Mr. Money" .
He continued to publish books in his last years as well - since 2018 "The Tunnel", "The Only Daughter" and "The Third Temple" have been published.

The author Joshua's work has gained widespread recognition in Israel and around the world, and he has won many literary awards - including the Israel Prize for Literature, the Bialik Prize, the Brenner Prize and the Medis Prize for Foreign Writers (for "Spanish Grace").
Several of his works have been adapted into films, including "Three Days and a Child," "The Lover," "The Return from India," and "Mr. Money."
Joshua is also known for his political activities in which he has criticized Israel's policies in Judea, Samaria and Gaza since 1967, and is one of the signatories of the Geneva Initiative.
Towards the end of the Second Lebanon War, he attended a press conference with David Grossman and Amos Oz in which he called on the Israeli government to agree to a ceasefire and not to expand the fighting in Lebanon as it subsequently decided.
