Tesla's repair service could be better - in addition to some customers, CEO Elon Musk himself now thinks so.
That's what he plans for the future.
Austin (USA) - There are a number of reasons why drivers buy a Tesla: the outstanding technology in the electric drive, the iPad-style operation, the numerous assistance systems advertised as "autopilot".
So far, however, outstanding service has not necessarily been one of the well-known highlights of the Texans.
Some private buyers, as well as operators of vehicle fleets, complain about significant deficits.

Elon Musk promises: Tesla service should be much better - and outperform the competition
There are certainly innovative approaches to maintenance and minor repairs that the competition could use as a model.
For example, the extensive use of over-the-air updates that save Tesla drivers from having to visit a workshop.
Also, mobile mechatronics can sometimes repair a Tesla on-site without the owner having to be present, as she can unlock it via her smartphone (although the Bluetooth technology used for this has security flaws).
Elon Musk promises: No more waiting times for service
Overall, however, Tesla boss Elon Musk also sees potential for improvements in the service.
He is working on it, he now let it be known on his Twitter channel.
Two-thirds of all vehicles should in future receive the necessary service on the same day: "No waiting times," promised the Tesla boss.
However, he initially only related the optimization to North America, i.e. the USA and Canada.
Working on Tesla North American service.
Goal is 2/3 of cars receive same-day service, no wait.

Elon Musk promises: Ten times better service than the competition
In the usual self-confident manner, Musk not only wants to improve his service, but also clearly outperforms all of the competition in the field: Tesla wants to be ten times better than the rest of the industry in this area, as the Tesla CEO explained in the “Electrek” blog .
In the future, more cars should be able to be repaired in the Tesla centers, and the number of car mechatronics technicians there should also be increased.
Considering the fact that Elon Musk wants to fire other employees, a remarkable announcement.
