72 children from a primary school in Lauris, a town south-east of Cavaillon (Vaucluse), complained of abdominal pain and headaches, reports La Provence.
Three of these students from a primary school which has 214 were hospitalized.
According to France 3, several children had nausea, vomiting and headaches.
Some even felt faint.
The three hospitalized children were rehydrated, kept under surveillance, then returned to their homes at the end of the day, reports France Bleu.

Questioned by the local radio, the mayor of the town, André Rousset, explains that the Regional Health Agency (ARS) has been seized and that the tests carried out on tap water do not point to anything abnormal for the time being. .

He adds that, this Friday, the taps will be closed but bottles of water will be distributed to young school children.
The city councilor also points to "a group dynamic".
