Matthias Malmedie races at 330 km/h: "It's tough"

Matthias Malmedie raced down the autobahn at 330 km/h in the McLaren 765LT.
The tank of the sports car was accordingly quickly empty.
Cologne – The name McLaren alone gives most car fans goosebumps.
Matthias Malmedie (46) is no different, as a challenge from the GERCollector showed.
On his YouTube channel, the Grip moderator has now spurred the McLaren 765LT Spider on the autobahn.
"Today we're trying out whether it's too faster than the open car," explained Matthias Malmedie before the test drive with the 765 hp sports car.
And the moderator doesn't hesitate for long, but quickly presses the gas pedal.
His reaction to the acceleration of the McLaren 765LT Spider is unequivocal: “Boy, is that intense.
How quickly that goes from, I don't know, 130 to over 300. That's not normal anymore."

The driving characteristics of the McLaren 765LT Spider also convince Matthias Malmedie: "There's no nodding and shaking.
It's extremely crisp.” According to the Grip moderator, the perfect cruising speed is 200 km/h.
“Consumption is not that high there either.”
After numerous accelerations to over 300 km/h, Matthias Malmedie, who was recently upset about chronic left-hand drivers, then wants to find out what the sports car can do when it is open.
As it turns out, little less than closed.
Malmedie accelerates the Spider up to 323 km/h and sums it up: "It's incredibly loud!"

The result: the fuel tank of the McLaren 765LT Spider is empty within a very short time, much to the surprise of the Grip moderator, who recently calculated the fuel consumption of the sports car in a video.
However, the empty tank doesn't stop him from stepping on the gas.

Matthias Malmedie uses the refueling stop to close the roof and then test how fast the McLaren 765LT goes with a tailwind.
The answer: around 332 km/h.
"It's amazing how much fun it is.
This thing is like a slingshot that's always cocked.” The Grip presenter apparently didn't learn anything from the outward journey, however, after just under fifteen minutes the tank is half empty again.
However, his fans celebrate him in the comments as well as for the new approach of filming the video from the first person perspective.
