PARISIAN INFO. Four years after the death of the boy mowed down by the fall of the cabin in Argenteuil, 5 lift operators have been indicted

In June 2018, the death of Ismaël during the fall of a hydraulic elevator at the Côté Seine shopping center in Argenteuil (Val-d'Oise) created a shock in France.

The 4-year-old child had died in front of his family when he was blocked at the level of the torso between the cabin and the landing of the 1st floor of the shopping center.

Four years later, even though a white march is to be held this Sunday in Argenteuil in tribute to the young victim, five lift operators were indicted as legal persons at the end of May and beginning of June for "involuntary homicide" by a examining magistrate of the judicial court of Pontoise.

"An important step forward, according to Me Yassine Bouzrou, the family's lawyer, who however deplores "the extremely long delay in reaching this stage which, according to him, was long overdue".
