A police officer, summoned to the General Inspectorate of the National Police on Friday June 24, committed suicide in the morning on a construction site in Paris with his service weapon, we learned from a police source, confirming information from Europe 1.

Help arrived but his death was quickly declared, on the spot, shortly before 11:00 a.m.

He was to be heard in the morning at the IGPN as part of a judicial investigation, said the police source, without specifying the reason for his summons.

An investigation was opened to find the causes of death and entrusted to the 3rd district of the Parisian judicial police.

This is the 32nd suicide in the national police since January 1.
