On June 25, 2002, after nine days of hell for his parents and incessant searches, the lifeless body of Mickaël Jouis, 25, was discovered in a ditch by an employee in charge of the maintenance of the Varenne (Maine-et-Loire).
Disappeared at the end of an evening organized on the banks of the Loire by young people from the town, Mickaël has several teeth missing when the gendarmes discover him.
Another disturbing detail noted by the investigators: his pants and underpants are down.
The latter is even upside down and seems to have been removed and then awkwardly put back.
