Ready for the next generation?

Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 14 series at an event that will likely take place on September 13, in less than three months.

Meanwhile, reports and rumors continue - revealing new details about the products seen alongside the flagship devices.

Yesterday (Sunday) Bloomberg's technology correspondent Mark Gorman revealed that "the S8 chip of the Apple Watch 8 series will have the same data as the previous generation processor - S7".

But here's the catch: the S7 chip is identical to the S6, which was introduced along with the Apple Watch 6 series in 2020.

Alongside this, Gorman claims that Apple will also announce the second generation of the discounted smartwatch, the Apple Watch SE 2. According to him, the The new SE will come with the same screen as the current model, and will not get an upgraded display as in the Apple Watch 7. In terms of performance, the watch is expected to get an upgrade to the new S8 processor.

Airpods will measure your temperature

One of the areas that Apple has been trying to get into in recent years with all its might is digital medicine.

A new report from 52Audio shows that the company continues to gallop in the healthcare field, and plans to bring interesting features to the next generation of its premium premium headphones - Airfoods Pro.

According to the publication, the new headphones, AirPods Pro 2, will for the first time incorporate a heart rate monitor and a sensor capable of measuring the user's body temperature (thermometer).

All data, similar to smartwatches, is expected to sync with the company's health app.

In addition, Apple is expected to continue its gradual transition to USB-C - replacing the traditional Lightning with the popular connection.

And what's going on in the iPhone segment?

The biggest change we are currently expecting in the next iPhone series is the removal of the notch that has been at the top of the company's devices since the iPhone X, which came out in September 2017, and came with a screen that covers almost the entire front of the device except for sensors and front camera.

What else is known?

The Pro series will continue as usual with the two familiar models, but aside from the entry-level models, Apple will change the name of the iPhone 14 model to the iPhone 14 Max, and finally eliminate the mini model - simply called iPhone 14. On the other hand, another report claims that only Pro models will receive a chip update The A16 with 6GB of RAM.

The base models, iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max, will continue to run on the A15 Bionic chip that exists in the iPhone 13 series, but their working memory will be updated to 6 GB - instead of 4 GB.

Also, according to the forecast of the well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 14 Max model is expected to have a 6.7-inch screen, which indicates that for the first time Apple will combine a large display with a cheaper, non-Pro device.

Another technology that will reach the next generation is Always-On, in which the screen goes into a state of low brightness until you "wake it up".

In fact, this is a technology that has been around in Apple Watch and even in many Android devices for several years.

In the photography segment, Apple may upgrade the sensors - 48 megapixels in the main camera alongside an advanced lens on the front as well.
