At the Gergovie Museum, an exhibition at the heart of the Gallic Wars

This Auvergne museum presents the Battle of Gergovie from the angle of recent discoveries, through a new temporary exhibition on Julius Caesar this summer.


The museum is planted at the end of the Gergovie plateau.

Discreet, it blends into the landscape and perfectly matches the shapes of the cliff.

Even before walking through these alleys, it offers an incredible view of Clermont-Ferrand and its valley as a first sight.

Opened just before the pandemic, the establishment alternated between periods of closure and reception of the public.
