Borne in turn recommends the mask in closed and "

promiscuous

in crowded places

" and "

enclosed spaces

", in particular "

public transport

", in the face of the resurgence of Covid-19 cases, a announced Matignon.

The Prime Minister, who brought together prefects of departments and directors of regional health agencies by videoconference on Tuesday, took up several of the recommendations made on Monday by the Minister of Health Brigitte Bourguignon.

"

Recommendations

", without "

mandatory nature

" but which intervene when the incidence rate of the epidemic "

has doubled in one week on almost all of the metropolitan territory and in all age groups of the population

", underlined Matignon.

Élisabeth Borne therefore called for “

amplifying prevention messages

”, with instructions to “

wash hands frequently

”, “

ventilate closed spaces regularly

”, “

wear a mask in crowded places, enclosed spaces and in particular public transport during busy periods

” and “

test yourself at the first symptoms and isolate yourself immediately if positive

The State found to be at fault for not having stored enough masks

French justice recognizes the state at fault for not having stored enough masks before the Covid pandemic, questioning in an unprecedented way the public management of the health crisis, without going as far as a conviction.

"

The State has committed a fault by refraining from constituting a sufficient stock of masks to fight against a pandemic linked to a highly pathogenic respiratory agent

", declared the administrative court of Paris in a decision handed down on Tuesday.

The court also decided that the state had committed a fault by making “

statements which may have had the effect, in particular, of dissuading the population from using masks

”.

With this decision, which follows around thirty complaints against the State by former Covid 19 patients, the justice system explicitly calls into question part of the State's management of the health crisis.

China halves quarantine for arrivals from overseas

China on Tuesday halved the duration of the mandatory quarantine for travelers arriving in China, a major relaxation of the entry restrictions imposed by this country which has followed a strict health policy since the start of the pandemic, which Beijing has however played down. by referring to a simple "

adjustment

".

The first to be affected by Covid-19, China closed its borders to foreign travelers in March 2020 to protect itself against new infections, at a time when the virus was spreading to the rest of the world.

At the same time, China had sharply reduced the number of flights from abroad.

To discourage the return of its nationals, Beijing imposed for more than two years a long and expensive quarantine at the hotel or in a dedicated center.

Under a new directive unveiled on Tuesday, quarantine on arrival in China is reduced to 10 days, down from 21 initially.
