The Parisian night was punctuated by a drama.
This Monday evening, around half past midnight, the firefighters intervened on a fire on the top floor of a residential building in the 11th arrondissement of the capital, rue de Montreuil, the Parisian firefighters told Le Parisien, confirming information from the Actu.fr website.
The fire, which required the intervention of about thirty firefighters and a dozen machines, caused one death.
The flames were extinguished around two o'clock in the morning, even if the intervention was still in progress this Tuesday at mid-morning, to ensure that there was no risk of recovery.
The causes of the fire still unknown
According to the Paris fire brigade, only the 70 m2 apartment on the top floor was affected, as well as the roof of the building, and there were no injuries to be deplored in addition to the victim.

For now, the causes of the fire are not yet known, as is the identity of the person who was found dead in the apartment.
This is not the first time that the 11th arrondissement has been affected by a fatal fire.
Last year, two people lost their lives in a fire that affected a residential building on Boulevard Voltaire.
