The BMW i3 is said goodbye with a special edition and will soon no longer be produced.

BMW plans to produce a new electric car at the Leipzig plant.

More and more electric cars are bustling on the roads.

While most automakers are launching new models, others are saying goodbye to their first all-electric series.

This is also the case with the BMW i3 this year.

The i3 was the first model from the Bavarian automobile manufacturer, which went into series production in 2013.

A total of 250,000 copies were made.

After around ten years, BMW is now saying goodbye to its electric pioneer with a special series.

Since then, many other i-series models have been launched, including the i4, i7, iX or iX3.

The customers of the Homerun Edition were allowed to be present during the production of their cars at the Leipzig plant.
