A 44-year-old man suspected of having pushed his daughter on Tuesday from the Saint-Nazaire bridge (Loire-Atlantique), has been indicted for murder.
He was placed in pre-trial detention, in accordance with the requisitions, announced the prosecutor of Nantes this Friday.
The forties was seen Tuesday afternoon by a dozen witnesses pushing his daughter, born in 2004, from the building, which culminates at 68 meters above sea level, according to the same source.
She succumbed to her injuries.
The father denied the facts “throughout his police custody” claiming “on the contrary to have tried in vain to prevent his daughter from committing suicide”, specified the prosecutor, Renaud Gaudeul, Thursday evening.
Presented to an examining magistrate on Thursday evening, he was indicted and imprisoned.
