In summer, an unfavorable movement can quickly get sunscreen on the paint - but the greasy film should be removed quickly.
Some people wash their cars more often than others less often.
For example, some people avoid the car wash entirely even in winter
,
but you should only skip the car wash when the temperature is extremely below zero.
In summer, on the other hand, there is at least a perceived willingness to whip the vehicle into shape.
After all, the
weather
is usually better then - and the car is usually not immediately dirty again.
Incidentally, it does not always have to be the most expensive laundry.
However, it doesn't matter whether you like driving to the car wash more or less - there are certain
deposits
on the paintwork that should be removed immediately, especially in summer.
Sunscreen on car paint: Acting quickly protects against damage
Not so long ago, for example, so-called “blood rain” fell in Germany: the dust from the Sahara settled on many cars.
In this case, too, it was advisable to act quickly in order to avoid
damage
to the paintwork.
Bird droppings
are particularly aggressive –
their harmful effects are amplified
at
high temperatures
and in the sun .
In this case, DEKRA experts recommend soaking the dried-up legacies of the birds with a wet cloth and then carefully wiping them off.

However, a quick reaction is also recommended if
sunscreen
has gotten on the car paint.
It doesn't matter whether the children left a greasy handprint on the fender or you touched the paintwork yourself when you got in: sunscreen can leave permanent marks on the paintwork.
The
ADAC
North Rhine therefore recommends removing the
greasy film
in good time with water and foam - better still with a special car shampoo.
Car care in summer: Also remove insect remains quickly
Another typical summer dirt problem is
insect residue,
which accumulates in the front area and on the exterior mirrors, especially after long cross-country trips.
In this case, too, one should not wait too long before removing it, since the deposits can practically “burn in” due to the heat.
Damp kitchen paper or newspaper
helps with soaking, after which the insect dirt should be able to be washed off.
But be careful: You should not always polish the car paint with supposed home remedies, as the ADAC advises.
