Loir-et-Cher: after a neighborhood dispute, she kills an octogenarian with a shotgun

A woman in her fifties allegedly shot her neighbor twice after a neighborhood quarrel. She was taken into custody


The neighbors of this small hamlet of about twenty inhabitants thought they had succeeded in calming the situation.

They were finally the indirect witnesses of what could be qualified as assassination.

Sunday evening, shortly before 10 p.m., a neighborhood dispute broke out in the town of Soings-en-Sologne (Loir-et-Cher), at a place called Cour-Moreau, report our colleagues from La Nouvelle République.

The evening ended in a bloodbath.

A 51-year-old woman was arrested.

She allegedly shot her neighbor by shooting her twice with a shotgun.

She herself designated herself, to the gendarmes, as the author of the fatal shots which hit an octogenarian.

Before taking action, she had already seized a weapon to go to her neighbor.

Neighbors then intervened and were able to disarm the 50-year-old.

This was a priori reassembled, according to the first elements, after having received remarks from the future victim about dog barking.

Towards an opening of judicial information for assassination

While the neighbors thought they had succeeded in bringing her to her senses, the suspect returned with a shotgun and two explosions froze the blood of the neighborhood.

Still according to the regional daily, the victim was hit by two cartridges of different calibers.

The emergency services dispatched to the scene could only note the death of the octogenarian, a widow with a son, who had been director of the departmental tourism committee.

An investigation was opened and entrusted to the Romorantin research brigade.

The alleged perpetrator of the shots was taken into custody and was to be brought before a judge on Tuesday.

The Blois prosecutor's office should open a judicial investigation for assassination and request the provisional detention of the fifty-year-old, hitherto unknown to the justice services.

This is confirmed by France 3. According to La Nouvelle République, the alleged author was subject to personality disorders and was followed by a psychiatrist who had prescribed drug treatment.
