TVs have long been a necessary item in every home, and the days when they blocked our living room space, hid or forested with prominent cables, are over.

Due to the fact that television has become a design piece of furniture like a sofa or dresser, companies today place great emphasis not only on the advanced technologies but also on the design of the product, also in relation to the rest of the house.

LG Israel and the H.I. Group

The official importer in Israel of home entertainment products, recently launched a line of new TV screens that includes a TV in a variety of sizes and advanced technology.

But not only.

"For us, the TV is no longer a black rectangle stuck in the middle of the living room, but rather a screen that corresponds with the entire design and style of the house," explains Nirit Kamara, product manager of the TV and audio screens at the H.I. Group.

"These are basically 4 main new series, all of which are OLED - a unique technology without backlighting, in which each pixel is lit and lit independently. The technology has been on the market for 9 years, is the only one that can display absolute black color, perfect color - 100% original, without Light leakage and this year the screen brightness is particularly high and the OLED TVs feature a particularly advanced style and design.

The first new series is actually the most common today is the LG OLED G2 (comes in 6 sizes 55-97 inches).

"This is actually a gallery edition whose uniqueness in terms of design is that it clings to the wall at zero distance," explains Nirit.

"On the back of the TV there is a recess into which a unique wall fixture enters that allows the TV to be attached at zero distance from the wall. Because the side consists of two parts - one more prominent (silver) and one that goes in (black) - it looks from the side A picture on the wall. "

This OLED TV series includes a thinner frame for a more immersive viewing experience in addition to giving a more elegant design to the TV and its price ranges from 9,000 and up depending on size.

Two other series dedicated to design and lifestyle are ART 90 which features a unique 65-inch screen design with an 80-watt automatic adjustable speaker that goes up and down with the TV turned off and on.

"When the speaker is closed it covers three quarters of the screen, and in the free quarter (row view) you can view a clock with a gallery in the back and you can also listen to music. The TV is supposedly closed, but it has a use. It looks like a picture in a museum and it has a completely design aspect, "says Nirit.

The price of this model is already higher and stands at about 25,000 shekels.

A TV that stands on its feet in the middle of the living room

Another series is expected to enter in October is a series called 'Pose'.

"What is unique about this series, which is suitable for smaller sizes such as 42 48 or 55 inches, is that the TV stands on legs and can be placed even in the middle of the room if there is no free wall to hang," explains Nirit.

In addition the speaker bar of the TV is located below and behind the TV there is room for cables and connections so that they will not be seen from the side or back.

The TVs in the series still do not have prices because they are expected to arrive in Israel only this coming October.

The highlight of the new series, and also the most expensive in it, is a TV called rollerball - a scrolling TV that allows the screen to be rolled to three different levels.

"The panel itself of the TV is flexible so it can be rolled up. It has a special mechanism that rolls up the TV like a shutter and it goes up and down."

This is a prestigious and expensive screen that will cost NIS 330,000 per consumer.

We also take care of the environment,

design and sustainability have gone hand in hand in recent years, which is why even in the current case of TV series, emphasis has been placed on it.

The new models for 2022 have been designed with the environment in mind, with a lower carbon footprint throughout the product life cycle.

Beyond the packaging made of 100 percent paper, and the use of recycled plastic in the outer packaging, the new TVs are built from lighter complex materials, to reduce carbon emissions during shipping and transportation.

Relatively modest power consumption, allows these products to save energy even during use.
