Journalist and TV personality Dan Shilon felt ill at his home in Zichron Yaakov and was transferred to Hillel Yaffe Hospital in Hadera for tests with signs of a stroke.

Journalist and TV personality Dan Shilon felt ill at his home in Zichron Yaakov and was transferred to Hillel Yaffe Hospital in Hadera for tests with signs of a stroke.
He is conscious and in stable condition.
The 81-year-old Shilon is one of the most prominent and successful media figures in Israel.
He served in the Air Force, studied in the Department of Political Science and Sociology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
He began his media career in 1961 as a news reporter for Kol Israel, and later served as a military correspondent.
In 1968, he was one of the founding team of Channel One, and served, among other things, as an editor and presenter of "Matt" and "Matt Sport", director of the news department of Channel One and a reporter for the United States Broadcasting Authority.
He managed the network company, in which he presented the talk show "Live with Dan Shilon" which was a huge success.
In addition, he presented "Arab Tov Israel" on the IDF and "Arab Khads" on educational television and wrote for Haaretz and Yedioth Ahronoth. In the 2000s he presented "Olap Shishi" on News 2, "Yoman" on Channel One and Keshet's morning program alongside Tali Moreno Shilon published three books.
