A traffic sign has spread on two German autobahns.
Its function is an indication of the future of motoring.
Germany – Very few drivers know each and every one of the more than 400 traffic signs in Germany.
After all, the approximately 20 million signs that have been put up include all sorts of curiosities, to which a particularly unusual specimen has been added in recent years.

Again and again, drivers in German inner cities or on the autobahn encounter largely unfamiliar traffic signs, which, if ignored, can have serious consequences in individual cases.
The General German Automobile Club (ADAC) has neatly listed the applicable danger, regulation, additional and other signs as well as the traffic facilities on its website and provided the relevant explanations.
Very few road users know in which category this new traffic sign is to be classified.
The still comparatively young traffic newcomer is round, designed exclusively in black and white and has an unusual combination of various geometric elements.
These properties clearly distinguish it from the StVO traffic signs.

The largely unknown traffic sign will certainly have confused one or the other driver.
