After two years in which they were truncated by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Nuits des étoiles are making a big comeback for this 32nd edition, which officially started this Friday, August 5.
“The number of events had been halved in recent years,
explains Olivier Las Vergnas, president of the French Association of Astronomy (AFA), which organizes.
This year, more than 500 events are organized throughout France by teams of amateur astronomers.
This is the strongest mobilization since its creation, and the complete program is available on the AFA website (afastronomie.fr).
Around 200,000 people are expected, more than double than in 2021.
But this 2022 edition is also placed under the sign of another piece of news:
