Archie, a 12-year-old Briton, is in a deep coma, a state of brain death from which he will never come out.
He was found on April 7, unconscious, in the family home in Southend-on-Sea in Essex, most likely a victim of the "blackout challenge", the English name translated into French as "the headscarf game", which a sometimes deadly challenge of holding your breath until you pass out.
His mother thinks he participated in an online social media game.
Archie was found with a cord wrapped around his neck.
