Inspired by the legendary racing car with chassis number # 0222 designed and built by the 95-year-old engineer Giotto Bizzarrini - former Alfa Romeo and above all former Ferrari - in 1965 and winner of its class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans that year, the 5300 GT Corsa is hand built in the modern (formerly Aston Martin) plant in Newport in Great Britain.

Starting from the original designs and the examination of the sample # 0222 brought back to the original conditions (up to 'trace' the initial paint in Rosso Corsa 222) the 24 units of the 'Revival' series use a lightweight composite body in one piece, on a steel frame providing a total weight of 1230 kg.

Inside, the two bucket seats are protected by a full six-point roll cage and safety fuel tank, compliant with FIA Appendix K historic racing regulations. Independent rear suspension has been reproduced to the 'Corsa' specification tuned almost 60 years ago by engineer Bizzarrini and there are Campagnolo light alloy wheels and oversized disc brakes perfectly compliant with the original ones.

Under the hood, a perfect replica of the period-specific 5.3-liter Chevrolet V8 engine with Weber 45 DCOE (Horizontal Double Body E) carburetors that developed over 400 hp and provided at the time a weight / power ratio comparable to that of modern supercar.

"Our entire team is incredibly proud to see the first 5300 GT Corsa Revival leave the factory to be delivered to its new owner - commented Simon Busby, CMO of Bizzarrini - We relaunched Bizzarrini earlier this year as the start of a long-term vision. And this first delivery to the customer is an important step along the way to fully realize that vision. As we continue to produce the rest of this series of vehicles, we will continue to build on the founder's passion and values with the next phase of the continuous development of our modern supercar ".

After the bankruptcy in the last quarter of 1968 of the original Bizzarrini SpA, the name with the brand and the intellectual rights on the cars changed hands several times and without fruitful projects.

This, up to the last acquisition in the summer of 2019 by the British Pegasus Brands which is in turn part of the Kuwaiti Pegasus Automotive Group Holdings of Rezam Mohammad Al Roumi, formerly the financier of Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd.
