(S+) Hate speech online: This is how mocking comments become death threats (podcast)


too much hate Too much threat. Too much disinformation. Various well-known Twitter users have therefore just left the platform. What are the dynamics behind the attacks, and what helps?

"Threats, insults, even very specific death threats - I'm almost used to that," says lawyer Chan-jo Jun. With posts against hate online or about false "lateral thinker" ideologies, he had collected more than 70,000 followers on Twitter.

After the death of Lisa-Maria Kellermayr, the rush and the poisoned tone on the platform was too much for him.

He deactivated his account.
