Benjamin Mendy trial: "No one can ignore that no means no", says the prosecutor

Tuesday's hearing was adjourned due to technical problems with the video transmission of a statement from the first alleged victim.


The tension was palpable this Tuesday, August 16 in the morning in the courtroom of the court in Chester, a small town in the north of England.

And the technical problems didn't help.

Jurors charged with trying footballer Benjamin Mendy and his friend Louis Saha Matturie were about to listen to a video interview of the first alleged victim, during his statement to police, but the sound...wasn't working.

The testimony is expected to be retransmitted on Wednesday and the hearing has been adjourned.
