Google announced yesterday (Monday) the significant upgrade of Android for 2022, Android version 13. For those who participated in the various betas the following features will be familiar, but here is the list of the equivalent things that can be found in Android:

Android 13 comes with a design and look according to the principles of the Material You, Now you can also match your theme with icons of third-party apps for a nicer look.

This new feature may very well speak to us Israelis, especially those who operate their phone in English as their primary language: it will be possible to select a language for each application separately, so that you can operate the phone in one language, and use applications in another language, for that matter, English and Hebrew.

Improvements for digital well-being include good bedtime adjustments, and dimming the theme before bed, even if you happen to wake up to check your phone in the middle of the night - to help you get back to sleep.

In terms of security, Google is finally limiting the sharing of the entire media library with any app.

It will be possible to define for each application only certain images that will be allowed to access.

Sensitive information that will be stored on the copy-paste board such as phone or password - will be deleted after a while automatically.

Google is also improving the alert forest and continuing to clean it up: it will be possible to receive only the alerts you are interested in.

For each new app you download, you can allow or deny access to notifications, instead of the default.

Innovations in the field of media: In addition to a redesign for the media player, Google now offers support for location-based surround sound and will support headphones that know how to create it according to the movement of the head.

This feature will of course be on smartphones but more importantly on tablets, especially when watching movies.

Google also fully embraces the BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) standard, which supports less delay in connections to headphones or wireless speakers.

It will also allow you to share music to multiple sources from your smartphone at the same time.

Tablets are offered improvements such as the ability to work in split screen, copy links from the phone and paste them on the tablet or vice versa, and improvements to detect random touches of the hand when working with a stylus.

Android 13 is already released for Pixel devices, later this year also for Samsung, Asus, Nokia, Motorola, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Sony, Vivo, Xiaomi and others devices.
