In Framingham, Massachusetts, some residents inherit… a right to volunteer for medical research.

This city located about fifteen kilometers from Boston has the particularity of sheltering a unique cohort in the world.

What characterizes it?

Its longevity: three generations have successively been integrated into it, allowing scientists to make major discoveries in cardiology.

Initially, 5209 individuals, men and women aged 30 to 62, who, from 1948, agreed to give their time and to be medically monitored by researchers in order to improve knowledge of cardiovascular diseases.
