A 35-year-old man, suspected of having robbed Cécile Duflot's house, was arrested overnight from Thursday to Friday in Créteil (Val-de-Marne).
Around 11 p.m., investigators from the departmental judicial police service sounded the alarm after spotting the criminal's phone circulating near hospitals in the area.
It was on August 8 in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges on returning from vacation that the ex-politician discovered that she had been robbed during these vacations which lasted about twenty days.
The police who have identified the phone number of the thief, criss-cross the area in order to find their suspects because the demarcation gives only a vague idea of his location.

At midnight, the alleged criminal was located at the intercommunal hospital located rue de Verdun.
The police surprised this 30-something while he was in the emergency room.
During his search, officials discovered a cell phone belonging to a family member.
He was placed in police custody in the premises of the Val-de-Marne departmental judicial police service (SDPJ 94).
Cécile Duflot is involved in politics in the ecologist party "The Greens".
She was a Member of Parliament and Minister of Housing before hanging up her gloves and taking over the general management of the association "Oxfam France" in June 2018. This international solidarity organization mobilizes citizen power against inequalities and poverty.
She was also recently appointed to the Life Sciences Ethics Committee.
