Apple issued an unusual message tonight (Friday) - asking users to update the operating systems in its products due to a security weakness.
The company admitted that there is a suspicion that hackers have already tried to exploit some of these weaknesses.
On the company's official website about the security update, it is written that "Apple is aware that this problem may have been actively exploited and given access to the core of the system."
The update is available for iPhone 6s and later, iPad Pro (all models), iPad Air 2 and later, iPad 5th generation and later, iPad mini 4 and later and iPod touch (7th generation).
The security breach exploits the Webkit component - the engine responsible for displaying websites.
In fact, the weaknesses in the engine allowed hackers to lead users to unsafe websites, and then run malicious code on their devices.
Later, the attackers can gain remote access to the device - and steal personal information.

According to a CNN report, cyber experts around the world recommend that all Apple users around the world update their devices as soon as possible, while the US Cyber Security and Infrastructure Agency warns: "An attacker can remotely take control of devices that suffer from the security breach."
