The Mercury Rav band is returning to Israel, and will perform in November at the piano festival in Tel Aviv - this was announced this morning (Monday).
This will be the band members' fifth visit to Israel.
The acclaimed American indie band - which has released about ten albums to date - will present a different kind of show, where its members will talk about their songs and their creative process, including their breakout album, "Deserter's Songs" from 1998, and the events that took place around its release.
This is an acoustic performance, where the songs will be performed in special arrangements, which according to the band members are close to the form in which they were created.
As a bonus, the wonderful Israeli trumpeter Sefi Sizzling will be a guest at the show.
The performance, which will be held at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art on November 2, 2022, is the first to be revealed from the program of the annual piano festival.
The tickets will cost NIS 239, and can be purchased on the Zappa website.
