Eurovision 2023: Noa Kirel is officially announced as Israel's representative (Walla system!)

Noa Kirel is performing tonight (Wednesday) in Yarkon Park in Tel Aviv, in front of tens of thousands of spectators.

According to Kirel, about 33 thousand tickets were sold for the show.

She is expected to host, among others, the Israelis Stefan and Shahar Saul, and the American singer Gail.

Valerie Hamati was chosen to warm up the show.

She performed the songs "This is how you give up", "Ana Malit", a new song in English and also renewed Rihanna's "Please Don't Stop the Music".

The gates to the show opened at 6:30 p.m.

The production recommends leaving the car and traffic jams behind, and using the regular and special trains that Israel Railways makes available to the audience to and from the show.

In preparation for the show, the nearby Tel Aviv University station will be reinforced with stewards, security guards and managers.

Also, the electrification works, which are carried out every night along the coastline, were suspended today to allow the tens of thousands of participants in the event to return by train to northern destinations.

"I've waited so long to perform in the park, which is the biggest stage there is. It's a kind of history. I think it will move me more than any performance," Kirel said at the press conference where the show was announced, explaining why it took her many years to open the box office.

"I now feel ready. I can say that before that I didn't feel ready enough to do it, and now after almost 8 years in my career I feel super ready to stand on this stage. There will always be concerns and setbacks, but I believe that those who don't dare don't achieve, and from day one In my career I took risks and broke boundaries and conventions. I think this is what put me where I am today, to dare, take risks and dream big. I am optimistic and see only this thing before my eyes and approach this thing with great positivity. This is one of my biggest dreams. Background and concerns are always around, I work on concentrating on the goal. This is the moment when I really feel 100 percent ready for this performance."

About two weeks ago, Kirel and representatives of the Public Broadcasting Corporation held a press conference here in Tel Aviv, where it was officially announced that the singer will represent Israel at Eurovision 2023, which will be held in Great Britain.
