Tata, who played Nat, the owner of the diner "Pitch Pit" in the hit series "Beverly Hills 90210" passed away at the age of 85. The actor Ian Ziering, who played Steve in the same series, announced his death on Instagram and paid tribute to him: "He was one of the most Glad I ever worked with them. He was generous with his wisdom and kindness. Even though Pitch Pete was part of the set of Beverly Hills 90210, it sometimes felt like it was the backdrop for Tata's show. He was in the background in many scenes, but he was a driving force, mostly For us, in internalizing the gift that 90210 was for all of us. The pleasant memories of him will always be in my heart. My condolences to his family and friends and everyone he was dear to. Rest in peace Joey."

Tata was born in New York.
He started acting in the seventies and, among other things, played in many series.
However, he gained worldwide fame when he played Nat, the owner of the Peach Pit, in the series that took the world by storm.
Tata played in the series throughout its 10 seasons.
After Beverly Hills 90210, Tata played in another series, and there, according to his daughter, "his health deteriorated."
In 2018, Tata was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and his daughter raised funds online to help with his treatment.
"Nat was a loving father figure to the students of Beverly High," the daughter wrote.
"In real life, my dad Joey was a wonderful, kind and honest father."
