The show included two historical landmarks, one national and the other personal in the diva's life.

First, the evening was held in the presence of Prime Minister Yair Lapid and his wife Lihya - and this is the first time that a sitting Prime Minister is present at a festive and official event of the gay community.

Second, her mother, Bat-Galim Cohen, came to the event.

This is the first time that the mother is present at a public performance of Dana and also the first time that she is exposed in the media after over the years she has jealously guarded her privacy.

People around Dana say that this time it was very important for the singer that her mother be next to her and see the honor she has won.

During the evening, her mother shed tears.

In Dana's environment, they say that the presence of the mother and her pride in her is the most important and most exciting thing that happened in last night's event, and they expressed hope that maybe this is part of the mother's acceptance process.

"Honestly, this is the first time I've seen Dana at a public event," said the mother, a Galim to Walla!

Tarbut, "I heard all the songs and enjoyed it. The feeling was divine."

The mother refused to answer our question as to why she did not come to Dana's public appearance until last night (watch the short conversation with the mother - below).

At our Shabbat table, in my house, like in many families in Israel, sits the niece My wonderful Noga, along with her equally wonderful partner Little. Both are here today. Next to them sit Yoav's sons, with his fiancée Shai. There is no reason in the world that Noga and Little should have less rights than Yoav and Shai. We are going to change that. The government's job is to make sure that every A person will feel safe in his environment, at school, at home. The Israeli government will stand against any display of violence and hatred against the community. No one has a mandate over your body, and certainly not over your feelings."
