The mother and daughter who do everything together - naked (TLC)
TLC's docu-reality program sMothered, which deals with intense relationships between mothers and their daughters, returned for its fourth season with an episode that horrified the viewers, when mother and daughter revealed that they spend time together naked in bed: "My mother and I are inseparable. We spend most of our time naked and even cook naked together This is our norm."
4 seasons of the show proves that there are a lot of (too) close relationships between mothers and their daughters out there, but this latest one revealed a connection that will make you squirm uncomfortably in your chair.
In the first episode of the new season, the 27-year-old daughter Paula and her 46-year-old mother Francia were seen talking about their habits, including common situations where Paula walks around her house naked and makes small talk with her mother.
She claims it's normal in Colombian culture to see family members naked: "In a perfect world we'd be naked in bed all day," Paula told the New York Post.
They spend time together naked in bed, clean the house naked and also cook naked.
Paula added: "In Colombia, seeing each other naked in your family is very common. We are even closer because of it."

Paula says that her mom "has always been the cool mom, because she's just so much fun," and that the two not only spend time together at home, but also go out to parties and bars together - in such cases with clothes on.
Paula added: "I think we are so close because when we moved to America it was just me and her."
Francia supports her daughter and adds that being naked next to her "feels so natural".
She said: "I feel that the connection between us is that we are like one woman. I know everything about Paula. I even know when she is going to do number two."
The show says that the mother and daughter believe that "there are no such things as boundaries. They dance, party and sleep naked together - even enjoying the occasional tickle fight. For this pairing, mother-daughter roles are reversed. While Francia's youthful spirit makes her act like a child, on Paula's shoulders bear the responsibility of making sure that her mother eats properly."

Viewers took to social media to share their thoughts on the two's unique bond after the episode aired.
"Francia and Paula's relationship makes me uncomfortable," one viewer wrote, while another commented: "It's like Francia and Paula are in a romantic relationship. It's a little creepy."
"I'm in favor of being close to your mother, but there's a limit," another person wrote and another added: "If father and daughter did this 'naked thing' together, it would feel really wrong, wouldn't it?"
Others addressed Paula's claim that it was a cultural thing.
"I'm Hispanic and I can tell you it's really not common" wrote one and another agreed: "I live in Colombia. No one I know does it lol."

However, not all viewers were critical of the two, with a number of people defending the mother and daughter and claiming that it was "their life" and asking that they be allowed to "live as they please".
The series Smothered made headlines in its first seasons when a 55-year-old mother revealed that she showered every day with her 19-year-old daughter.

Daughter Bitani said: "When my mother does simple things like washing my hair or my body, it makes me feel more comfortable. I'm only 19 years old, I haven't left the house and if I had to leave - I would probably die of abandonment anxiety."
