Tesla is once again criticized for its quality.
This time, customers are complaining about the processing of the yoke steering wheel.

For some car enthusiasts, this is a combination that doesn't really go together.
In fact, the US car manufacturer repeatedly has problems with processing, which the ADAC recently found in a test of the material and processing quality of new cars.
Tesla drivers keep complaining about problems with their electric car on social media.
There are several posts on Twitter in which users complain about the handling of the controversial yoke steering wheel on their Tesla Model S.
After a short time, the material on the handles should flake off and leave unsightly bumps.

So far, this seems to be just a purely visual problem, but this will probably occur very quickly.
A Tesla driver reports that the material began to peel off after just six months.
With the YouTubers of The
kilowatts, the phenomenon occurred after only 24,500 miles (39,429 km).

The TikToker jf.okay is said to have had the first unsightly spots after just 12,000 miles (19,312 kilometers).
Another Twitter user even claimed that the material on the electric car's yoke steering wheel was peeling off after just 4,000 miles (6,437 kilometers).

For a part of the Twitter community, however, the fault does not lie with Tesla's poor processing, but with jf.okay.
The TikToker is said to have used the steering wheel incorrectly.
They referred to wrinkles that may have been caused by fingernails.
The use of the wrong hand lotion or disinfectant was also thrown into the room.
Nevertheless, the material should not detach itself from the yoke so quickly.

It is not known whether the affected Tesla owners have already contacted customer service.
It is only to be hoped that in this case the employees will react better to the complaints of their customers.
With the Model 3, an obvious damage was downplayed and should be fixed with a paint job.
It is quite possible that the problems with the yoke steering wheel for Tesla are only of a "cosmetic nature".
