Zvika Peak in a recent interview (Network 13)

The photo of the tombstone of the musician Zvika Peak, who passed away a month ago at the age of 72, was published on social networks and immediately caused controversy among surfers.

The tombstone, as you can see below, is a simple and clean tombstone, on which is written "Zvika Henrik Pick" and the years he lived - 1949 to 2022. Unlike other tombstones, no additional sentences were written on it.

While there were those who were happy to see a "modest, respectful and decent tombstone", there were those who wrote that they hated not having any sentence engraved on the tombstone, even if it was from a song he composed.

There were also those who claimed that the tombstone was in complete contrast to his colorful, colorful and larger than life personality.

"I'm not judging, but he deserves more," wrote one of the surfers.

This is what Pick's tombstone looks like:

Pick was born in Wroclaw, Poland, as Henrik Pick.

He was 8 years old when he immigrated to Israel with his family, and already as a child he studied music regularly at the Ramat Gan Conservatory.

In his youth, he served as a keyboardist, guitarist and singer in the bands "Telstar", "The Fat and the Thin" and "The Chocolat".

His breakthrough into consciousness occurred in 1970, when he was chosen to portray the character of Claude in the musical "Hair".

For this role Peak won the title of actor of the year.

Pick's enigmatic character, which included colorful clothing and overt sexuality, made him a favorite of the Israeli media of those years.

Pick is considered one of the pioneers of Israeli pop and he was active for five decades and composed dozens of well-known hits such as "Nasaf Tishrei", "Love at the end of summer", "There is no country for love", "Music (Ma'ale Ma'ale)" and "Diva", which won the 1998 Eurovision Song Contest. A few years ago he had a stroke.

A few weeks before his death, he was filmed for a documentary about him that is expected to air on the Yes Docu channel.

In the clip, Zvika can be seen saying: "I don't know how to do anything except music and sing. If I don't do these two things, it's a shame for me, not to mention other people. And God wants me to sing more, so it's possible."
