"I cleaned the chef's house, and one day he decided I would become a cook": Friel's Cinderella story

Priel Shebo, the owner of the Bottrega restaurant in the Carmel Market, says that the profession is the one that chose her.

"I would clean the house for the chef of Azura, after a while he told me to come to the restaurant and clean there, and as soon as we finished he told me that I would get used to going into the kitchen."
