Cayenne (Guyana), July 30, 2006. The sun was rising on the Larivot wild dump, when a gleaner fell on a horrific scene.
A woman's body lies, mostly charred, her head wrapped in cellophane.
The victim is quickly identified: it is Camilla Marques Pereira, a 19-year-old Brazilian immigrant who lived in great precariousness in Guyana.
According to the autopsy, she died of strangulation or suffocation.
The last time she was seen alive was at Number One nightclub two days earlier.
She is seen there that evening in the company of a man, with whom she leaves around 3 am.
But the false leads are multiplying.
Judicial information is bogged down.
And ends in a dismissal, in April 2010.
